Rose Wu
Rose Wu started learning to play piano when she was 5 years old. She has won many awards during her piano studies, such as 1st place in the “Tongmei Cup” piano competition in China. She has been invited by the Jiangsu province TV station to record her playing.
She was admitted to Nanjing Normal University within the top 10 scores in the music major college entrance exam. She graduated with a music education major from there. She learned piano with professor Li Xu and vocal with professor Xiaoyin Deng.
After graduation, she worked at NCIT for 9 years. She created a new major called “Recording Technology and Art” there. She was responsible for the course design of the new major. Since then, she has been teaching more than 10 subjects including music major core courses and public electives. She also served as a supervisor due to her excellent teaching results. She got her master degree in audio design from the North University of China. She also published a book titled “Audio Design for Games and Animation”.
After coming to the United States, she started a music studio in Chicago and focused on piano and vocal teaching for 10 years. Her students passed the AIM exam(Illinois state piano level exam) with highest scores and passed ABRSM with distinction scores. Many of her students won awards from music festivals and competitions. Such as gold medal at NSMTA Sonata & Sonatina Festival, honorable prize at DGMC piano competition, silver medal at NWSMTA Beethoven music Festival, etc.
She moved to north California in 2022, her students here won the 1st place at 2023 North California Young Talents Music Competition and 2nd place at 2023 San Francisco Innovative International Music Competition. She is currently a member of MTNA and a member of NSMTA. She serves as a judge for the Illinois State Piano Level Examination. She is also the administrator and managing director of LGPS.
